Vintage Japanese Boro rug sashiko stitched indigo aizome

This rug is a very old  cotton fragment. It has been used for various purposes, while being repaired over and over again.

Small fabrics were stitched together with Sashiko stitching. It has been used and washed for a long time, so it has a soft texture and a beautiful faded color.
