This is Katazome indigo-dyed cotton 6 paneled textile.

Katazome is a Japanese traditional method of indigo dyeing fabrics using a resist paste applied through a stencil, typically a rice flour mixture applied with a brush or a tool such as a palette knife.

It depicts a crane and a turtle.  Traditional and popular Japanese motif.
The crane and the turtle are symbols of longevity, artistic motifs.
They are also symbols of good luck.

This is reversible.
The reverse side has a traditional Japanese striped pattern.
