Masu are traditional wooden measuring cups used in Japan for centuries to measure rice, grains, and sake. They represent prosperity and abundance in Japanese tradition.

Set of 2 Sizes: Includes a large 5-Gou cup (approx. 0.9L) and a small 1-Gou cup (approx. 0.18L).

Hand-Forged Iron Borders: reinforced along the edges with hand-hammered iron to increase strength and prevent wear. This beautiful detail shows how deeply these tools were valued and cared for by their owners.

Aged Texture: The wood has acquired a rich, warm patina over a century of careful use.
